After last weekend's rest weekend, the national sevens circuit will be in the town of Nakuru for the Prinsloo sevens. The Kenya harlequins have already set themselves apart from the rest of the pack with their two wins in two. The quartered shirts will be looking to to cement this recent dominance with a third win come sunday. The chasing pack led by Kulabu will be looking to win their first title in this year's circuit after falling short in the first two. Another club that will be out to challenge the Quins will be KCB, after falling at the semi finals stage in the last two legs they will be looking to go all the way this time round.

The log goes on to no.36 the rest of the teams are yet to register points this season, yes the likes of Mean machine. The log for tries scored remains more or less the same but with Homeboyz and Kisumu taking up the 4th and third spots respectively. It's still early days but after Prinsloo we will have a clear indication as to where the teams are.

This will be the fifth edition of the Prinsloo sevens, and by far the biggest this far with sponsorship from Menengai Oil, CocaCola, Homeboyz entertainment, Airtel, EABL among others. The hosts are also set to unveil their new kit, which should be the same one they have been using for the last two legs.
Lets take a look at the pools:

POOL A            POOL B         POOL C          POOL D              POOL E              POOL F
Quins                  Mwamba         KCB                Kisumu RFC         Impala                  Homeboyz
Kakamega          Stomers            KCA               Strathmore            Western Bulls        Nakuru
Daystar               Thika RFC       BlakBlad          Masaku                 Comras                Nondies
Eldoret                Molo                Multimedia       Bungoma               Catholic Uni         Machine

The top three sides in Quins, Mwamba and KCB look like they will have a stroll on day 1, in their respective pools. Quins kick off the tournament against Eldoret RFC, then play Daystar before completing their fixtures against Unicef Kakamega. Mwamba start off with Molo then play Thika RFC before facing the Stomers in their final day 1 fixture. KCB begin their campaign against Multimedia, work their way up to Blakblad then finish the day 1 proceedings against neighbours KCA.

Kisumu RFC will headline Pool D after an impressive home tournament they are joined by Strathmore, new boys Masaku and Bungoma RFC. The Kondele boys start their challenge against Bungoma then play Masaku before the potential pool decider against Strath.

The rejuvenated Impala are joined in Pool E by the Echulusi, Comras and Catholic uni. The red shirts start their day 1 proceedings againts Catholic uni then play the Comras before they clash with the Bulls in the second last game of the Day one fixtures.

The Pool of Death, Pool F sees the Homeboyz pitted against hosts Nakuru, and fellow Kenya Cup sides Nondies and Machine. It doesn't get any tighter than this. Nakuru being the hosts will be looking to impress infront of their home crowd, in new kit and all. They will be hoping to keep their home form going if they are to survive this pool. The Homeboyz will be looking to keep their run of Main Cup Quarter final spots going in what looks to be their toughest set of fixtures to date, indeed this applies to all of the teams in this pool. Nondies and Machine who both failed to feature in Dala will be looking to get their respective campaigns on track and get back in the mix of things what better way than to make it out of this pool?
The first pair of fixtures will see the Homeboyz taking on Machine with Nakuru taking on Nondies the pairs will then switch opponents with the highlight being the Nakuru vs Homeboyz game.

It is bound to be a great two days of Sevens rugby, and with matches like the ones in Pool F on show in day 1 it is going to be a  top show of rugby indeed and it's in Nakuru so yeah...hehe!

In other happenings the Chipu fell to Namibia in 39-11 their second fixture of the CAR- U19 Pool A match. The Chipu now play Tunisia in a must win match on Saturday 2:00 pm if they are to stay in Pool A.
